Default Black Bear Cubs........

I posted the same question in the bowhunting forum. How long do the cubs stay with mom??? I got these pics last July. This sow/cub family was all over my honey hole all year long. She is the biggest bear I've seen in that area but I wont and cant shoot her till those cubs are gone. When they do leave will she stick around??

Here is another of the cubs...........

most states say the cubs have to be a year old or 100 lbs befor you can shoot them or there mother

I believe it is 2 years as well, and I think it is only ethical that you leave the mom alone so the cubs can be brought up with her.

Cubs remain with mom until 2 years old, if not killed by another bear before then. A big boar will kill cubs to get the mother to go into heat sooner. After 2 years, she will drive them off to find new territory unless there is sufficeint(sp?) habitat for another female. But the male cubs have to go.

The sows are bred in late spring and they will then have there cubs in the winter months (January or February) while dened up. The sow will keep her cubs that following summer and take them to the den with her the following winter and she will then boot them out after she comes out of the den the following spring. She then comes into heat again and is bred. A sow will have cubs every year 2 years if she gets bred.

The cubs in the pic wont get kicked until next year around this time. Leave her be after she kicks the cubs and let her come and go. When she comes into heat, you will have the best bait in town for a nice boar.....next year....

Also, grease the heck out of the ground this year, use those little suckers as advertisers!!!!
