Default Any successful moose hunters?

I know that there are a few guys on here who have had successful moose hunting trips and I am hoping to tap into your knowledge a bit. I am looking for a hunt for my father and I to go bowhunt moose. I don't care what sub-species, but I would like to have a good chance at some 45"-ish moose. Money is an issue so Yukon are pretty much out as are a bunch of others I am sure, but I can figure all that out later. I appreciate any feedback you all can give me.

For quanities of moose, try Newfoundland. For quality, head west like British Columbia.

You can buy over the counter tags and do a DIY moose hunt here in Alaska. Kicker is you'll have to do your homework, and find a reputable transporter, and it still won't be cheap, just cheaper than a guided hunt. Trophy moose are a hot commodity wherever they live so they won't come easy and/or cheap.
