diy elk hunter looking at unit 52 does anyone know that area?

52? where's that near? what part of the state? Why did you pick that unit? don't think I've ever heard it mentioned when it came to NM elk....

northern part on the border , chose it because its easer to draw than the gila where i was looking before . have you hunted new mexico?

I would apply for the late Nov. hunts, and try to hit the migration from Colorado

no hunt for bull elk that late. I might think about colorado on a diy hunt, can anyone tell me about where to look? thanks. just joined two days ago ,big buck hunter from ohio.

There is a firearm cow elkhunt in Unit 52 Nov. 23-27 if nothing else. Good luck.
