Bears and therma cell

Has anyone or does anyone use a therma cell when hunting spring bears? If so has it had any negative effects on scoring a bear? I have heard these things make a slight noise and was wondering if that is true and if bears could hear it.

It doesn't affect the bears at all. Last spring, I had plenty of browns and black bears in my bait station and the therma cell was on the entire time.

The mosquitos buzzing will drown out any noise the bear may hear. I have one and it works great and i didn't notice any noise i sure your heart beat would sound louder when a bear comes in
