Default Elk Hunting

Looking for an area with Trophy bulls and or a good outfitter. I have 10 pts for colorado and am interested in an archery or muzzleloader hunt. Prefer to hunt waterholes and wallows. Would also cosider other states. Any help is appreciated.

This topic gets discussed over and over on this site, just do some searching. Better yet join the Rocky Mountain Elk foundation and contribute to an organization that preserves more habitat than any other with a focus on the hunt. Members get Bugle magazine which is filled with elk hunting articles and it also has several hundred outfitters advertising in it. I know they have also contributed greatly to the new populations of elk in midwest states including Michigan.

We all need to preserve open spaces and winter range or we will not have elk and deer hunting like we know it.

I once shot an elk. It was a long battle, first shot didn't quite do it. I chased it with my motorbike for three kilometers and finally catched it... my bullets were out so I took my knife and cut its throat. I left it there though as I couldn't carry it. That was the chase of my life!
