Default Indian Summer Outfitters (Darby, Montana)

I have been going on outfitted hunts (Elk/Deercombo) out of Augusta Montana for the past 4 years. I am thinking about trying Indian Summer outfitters out of Darby Montana, has anybody on this site or someone you know hunted with them before? Thanks, HF41

Good outfit. Nice people and super good food. Didn't see as much game as we would have liked. We were the next top last rifle hunt they had. Would have been the first rifle week butthe huntstarted on a Sunday andelk season didn't start until Monday and we didn't feel like losing a day of hunting that we were paying for. One of the group got a small 4x4 mulie. One got a shot at a small raghorn bull on day 1 and I passed up shooting a cow on the first day hoping to see some bulls during the week. No dice. All in all, beautiful country, great food and people. Just get the earliest rifle hunt you can so there will ahve been fewer hunter in the woods befoer you spooking the game.

I know joe ferraro the owner, I talk to him now and again. I think they had a pretty decent archery season, i haven't talked to him about the rifle season yet. The last week of season we got some good snow, and the bulls were coming down. I know his area recieved some fire and was closed during archery this year, so he was guiding in a different area. Should be some real good hunting in his area for the next several years now. There are some nice bulls up the west fork where he guides.
