08 Colorado Cow Elk Hunt Help / Info

I am planning aCow Elk hunt in Colorado for next fall (October - Nov 2008) and was looking for some help. I have donesome research and since this is my first time going, I feel that an outfitter is going to be my best bet. I was just wondering if anyone on the forum can provide some information regarding a specific outfitter or just a good place to obtain information I would appreciate it.

DOW (Colorado Division of Wildlife) web site is the place to start for information. Lots of info there.
Don't be afraid to call them. I have talked to them many times and they are usually very friendly.
You can also purchase maps and dvds from this site. I hunted this year in the San Juan National
forest in SW CO. The maps are a must because there is some private land inside the forest that you
don't want to get onto.
