Default Looking for Pointers on Montana Elk Hunting

Can anyone give me some pointers on a DIY elk hunt in Montana? What region and districts are good place for an amatuer to start. What is the best camo for the area? Mossy Oak Brush, Advantage Max-1, etc? I am in the AF and will be stationed in Great Falls next year. Also is Antelope and Mule Deer action any good in Montana?

Shanusaf,

I lived in Great Falls for almost 5 years while in the AF. Granted it was many years ago I might be able to give you some pointers. Feel free to PM me if you want to talk.

Barry
