Default First year Moose hunting

Looking for a little insight. I have been hunting a couple of years now for Whitetail in Alberta, and I have just received my first moose tag this year. I use a .308 with 150gr Core-lokts for Whitetails and have never had one travel more than 10 yards after the first shot. Do you feel this is sufficient for the moose?

Personally, I prefer a heavier bullet in the 180 grain range.

the 150gr will work, but i agree, 180 gr is probably a better option.

The moose is relatively thin skinned and a 150 gr might work, but I would prefer something a bit heavier myself. A good quality 165 gr bullet will work (Supreme Fail Safe, or others) if you do not want to shoot 180 gr.

150's will definately work especially if your gun likes to shoot that particular bullet, but personally I'd perfer 165's or 180's for moose

I say the 180 Grain is the best because here in the Northern parts of Manitoba?, i've shot with both and they've only made it thru the skin! and you don't want that. Good Hunting!!

Oh Yeah??,forgot to mention that the secret to it is you want the Energy in the Bullit and that means a heavier option of choice's!!!
