How's the elk rut?

Leaving saterday for a 3 week archery elk hunt in montana and I thought I would ask the elk hunters how is the rutting activity? There sure seems like there is a lack of kill Photos so far this year.

Well i know last week the animals werent very responsive to the calls but we've been gettin frost ever night for the past week and a half so im thinkin this weekend they should be ruttin.

Good news for you. My buddies back home say the bulls in Idaho are Rutting hard! Screaming nearly all day! Good luck.
