Mine is the 300wsm for my big game hunt'n shot alot of animals with it so far and it's only 3 years old, i love my T3, i will post some pics of it's damage another day

I think what EKM is getting at is that there are not many true .300 "calibers" out there. Your .300 WSM "cartridge" is a .308 "caliber". Some folks are real particular about semantics around here.
In response to your question, I've got different favorites for different things... For deer, I love my Model 700 .243 Win. If I was going after something larger, I'd probably take my Model 700 .30-06. Rabbits? Ruger 10-22. 600 yard high power rifle matches? Springfield M1A .308. Defending our homeland from invading hordes... AR-15, .223... If I was after something that might get really mad and eat me, I'd probably have to buy something larger than any of the current residents of my safe.

Its awful hard for me to pick ONE but it would be between the 6.5x55, 270, 7mm-08 and 45-70. I have many other caliber as well and while the are not all necessary, to me they all have their niche. To narrow it to two, the 270 and 45-70. Sorry can't go any lower.
