Default 830 Yard Shot Drops an Elk

Since I'm fascinated with the talent it takes on long yardage shots, check out this elk get dropped from 830 yards away.

It takes as much or more talent to hit a distant target. The thing is targetrs are not wounded and they don't crawl off and die. In most elk terain when the animal is wounded it seldom found by the time the moron works his way over there.

Great point. how much impact will the bullet really have at that distance. i would have passed on this shot and moved closer.

99.99% of hunters would never be able to make a shot like that. These guys that produce those videos have thousands upon thousands of dollars invested in the absolute best long range equipment, spend countless hours in load development,and have spent countless hours practicing with their equipment and loads in order to be able to sucessfully take big game at those distances.

Totally agree. I have way too much respect for my quarry to ever blaze away from half that distence. I know I have found plenty of wasted game that was probably "missed" by these so called hunters.
