No Dayna we lost about 1/2 the house,could have been lot worse.No I just have to figure how to get all the smoke smell out of my camo(could be a good cover scent with all the fires).Just the old lady home I was pulling a double at work it was about 2:30 am on friday,I was glad the kids were not home.
We got pretty much all we need moved on Sunday to a house down the road a mile or so.
Were are you gonna be that time frame I'm off the 15th-24 th for hunting,meet ya for some food and a beer some where let me know.

I've actually heard tales of indians using smoke as a cover scent. letting campfire smoke envelope them prior to a hunt. Do you think that has any merit?? If so, would it be because generally animals may not go quite as "alert" with smoke smell as they would human stink or perhaps does the carbon contained in the smoke act as a natural scent suppressor.
or hell, maybe it doesn't work at all or is worse...animals have to avoid a fire too afterall.

I just saw on T.V. the other day that indians used smoke as a ritual and also as a cover scent.The night before a hunt they would cover their bodies with sage and other kinds of smoke.
