Default 325 WSM

I am going moose hunting in canada and was at the local gun store looking at a 338. When I told the salesman what i was doing with it he asked if i had thought about the 325 WSM. I have not heard a lot about this cartridge and was wandering if anyone had one or knew anything about them.

I wish I could go hunting bigger animals more often, to justify me getting one. Love to have one though.

I have one in a Browning Stainless Stalker and absolutely love it. Excellent shooting round. I have killed elk, bear, and a moose with it. Recoil is about like a .300 Win Mag.

The 325 WSM looks very nice on paper. I've never shot one. But, If I were choosing between it and the 338 WM I would undoubtably pick the 338.

I owned both a .338 and the .325WSM in the Browning A-Bolt Stainless Stalker. I liked them both and how they shot. I just like the short action of the .325 WSM, lighter weight of the rifle, and less recoil so much more that I sold the .338.
