Default Caribou hunting at mirage outfitters

I am planning a hunting trip for 3 guys to go to quebec caribou hunting with our compound bows, but we are also taking a rifle along. This will be our first trip to quebec hunting caribou and I was wondering if anyone has been to mirage outfitters and what was there experience like. were there lots of caribou, were did they go, what time of year, etc.
we are going the 3 week in Sept. 2008, hunting hopefully the leaf river herd.

Well most of us go in November or later. But here is a whole thread on the hunt.

Hope you have a few hours to kill, that thread is a wealth of information, (it should be for 111 pages long)

Seriously tho, you may want to keep in touch with Mirage to ensure the animals are even in the area before making the drive. The migration is either there or it isn't, if you read the thread you'll know what I mean.

About a dozen years ago I tried to plan a fishing trip to Quebec with Mirage Outfitters. Unfortunately, the trip never materialized, but Mirage was a great group to work with. They spoke good English, answered all my questions promptly and professionally, and seemed for real with no BS. Of course, that was a long time ago, and things can change. If you go, I'd love to hear how it went. Good luck!

They spoke English??? LOL. 98% of their clients are Americans. What language would you think they spoke? Of the 4 outfitters here, they rank #2 in my book. Way over priced but...worth it I guess if you have the money. They've had problems in the past just like the rest. But nobody can control the migration.

Went on a hunt last thanksgiving on the next outfitter past Mirage,we hit in between the migration but after some scouting ended up tagging out.The roads can be treacherous so bring tire chains and tow chains and take your time.
