Wife gets her bear (video)

Well it finally happend. All year my wife Miranda has been mad at bear. She has been looking forward to this hunt all year. It was a great time. All our friends were in camp as well as our 7 year old son. Here is a photo and some clips from the hunt.

Nice bear. It's awesome to be able to spend time with family hunting. I can just imagine that whole hunt was a blast.

Thanks fellas. She was a real trooper. The night we sat in the rain for 4 hours, I asked if she wanted to just head back to the truck. Odds were not good in the rain. She said she wanted to stick it out. and an hour later she had her bear. It has been great. Since she got home, she has demanded her own new set of camo, I have caught her twice going through the bass pro catolog, and she wants a new house with a bigger game room.

I think we will be in a deer stand somewhere this fall. I am hopeing to get a family bear slam this year. In the fall I am hunting here in maine, and then our son dylan will be hunting New Hampshire (his is not old enough here yet).

Chris, tell Miranda congratulationsfor me! I'm sure you were as happy as she was. Troy just got back from his Canadian hunt with Kaycie but no bear.I've not talked to him yet, but Amber said that his buddy got a big one. Dean

Ya, he was in the same camp with us. She hunted hard too. Saw three the first night, but no shooters. Then nada for 2 nights (hard rain), the on friday troy went out, she missed the hunt as she got back too late from shopping (just like a 16 year old girl). Troy saw on that night but passed. He wanted her there. Ask him about the fishing. He was on fire.
