I say flip a coin between the 308, 30-06 & 7mm. Either one will work just fine.
The 30-30 will work, but why would you even consider it, with the three other rifles you have to choose from?
I will be bear hunting in a few weeks myself, I will carry my 300-win mag.
When I go to Canada nextspringmy first choice is going to be archery tackle But I am also going to put in my 35 Remington also. a 200 grain bullet at less then 50 yards should do the job very well![8D]

It's all the RAGE!!
If you are going to be shooting over baits any of the above will work fine.If it's spot and stalk ie: shots over 200yards leave the 30-30 at home and select one of the other three. My boys are going to be using a 30-30 and a 25-06 for baited bears this spring with me observing [12ga backup /slug-buckshot alternated in the mag]We also have grizzlies. Was going to replenish our baits today but we're getting a major snowfall here in Alberta and the clay roads could be slick.Harold
