Anyone know of an outfitter for Brown bears (Alaska) that is under 10,000.00? Thanks

Kodiak would probably be able to help you with that I would think.

Give Steve a call at The Perrins' Rainy Pass Lodge!.

Steve is a quality guide, a good man, a conservationist, a great hunter and someone you would want to spend time with in the field! I know I do and I am looking for the opportunity to so in the next couple of years!

His number is 907-248-7599!

GOOD LUCK!

You answered your own question:

Thats a pretty tough row to hoe! Most go for around 15K

YOu got a couple of leads.....

Because there just aren't any. You can get a list of registered bear guides here: http://www.wildlife.alaska.gov/index...=hunting.guide
but you're going to be hard pressed to find any for under $10K and if they were I'd be highly dubious of them.

The reason why i put 10,000.00 out there is because I have seen several outfitters advertising brown bear hunts at this price. i do appreciatte the positive feedback. i realize that there are guys out there asking 15,000.00+ however...i am trying to stay in the 10K range. Also...i realize that i am not going to get a hunt on kodiak for that or even on the peninsula.I posted this thread to get some direction on this.

check with cabelas. they offer an affordable brown bear hunt with a price tag of less than $5000, but there is a hefty trophy fee if ya get one, making it just around $11,000, still pretty reasonable by todays market and if ya dont get one your not out an arm and a leg.
