"....I keep on praying Colorado won't let that happen."

I talked to the boys down at CDOW here in Denver, and they are just ga-ga at the prospect of havings wolves in the Colorado ecosystem....
a new specie to "manage," new research papers to be written and published, additional funds, career advancement....
Almost like, Hunters? Ranchers?.... We don't need no stinking hunters! Or ranchers for that matter.
Enjoy the "good old days" while they last, in the future you may not even be able to get an elk tag each year even as a Colorado resident, let alone bag an elk every year; certainly ifthe wolf factoris as devastating here as it has been in the famous Gardiner, Montana area, then hunters may become an unneeded component in herd management.
Oh, won't the "middle of the roaders" be crying then. No longer will Colorado provide the ultimate "safety valve" for throw-it-together, last-minute-planning, do it yourselfers (or guided hunters)wanting an impromtu elk hunt.... "just go to Colorado and buy over the counter licenses the day before the hunt".... nope. Ranchers with private land tags are gonna feel itand outfitters too.
You gotta give our opponents credit, they came up with a brilliant plan on the wolf reintroduction mechanism.
Osama came up with a brilliant plan for the 9/11 thing too.
Gotta respect the ingenuity of your opponents.

I like the way these Alaskans think.
Now where do you sign up for that "aerial gunner" deal?
I'm thinking a AR-10 in 308.
