Default How many pounds are you pulling for Elk?

Going to start setting my bow to hunting settings soon to get my body prepared for real world elk hunting.
How many pounds are ya'll pullin?

Would 65# be considered too light?
I feel that would be adequet, especially with a high amount of KE coming out of the bow...

65# is more than adequate! Stay with a 400 grn+ arrow/broadhead wt. & you'll be good to go! Most recurve/longbow hunters shoot 50#-60# for elk & no problems! SnufferSS--Montecs--Stingers--Muzzys & the like are good choices in the 125grn wts.

I am pulling 72-pounds with my BowTech Tribute.
IMHO, 65-pounds is plenty. Accuracy is more important than poundage.

wow elknut, you guys must have small elk in IDAHO. in wyoming the smallest bull i ever seen was about 750lbs. i think i would have to let it walk!lol
