Default muzzle loading for moose

Hi everyone just join the forum, and it great to see many of you with great interest.I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on black poweder loads used for moose. Going to the Yukon next year and i want to make sure i can deliever a good projectile that would drop a moose. I 'v been sighting in my gun with 300 sst and they group very well with 150 t7. Do you thiink this would be enough. As for bullets, what do you think about SST and shockwaves for moose. Thanks

I just watched a video made by Stoney Wolf Productions called Jim Shockey's Land of the Giants. It was shot in Canada in the Yukonand Jim Shockey was using a muzzle loader on a couple of hunts. Check out the website at www.stoneywolf.com . You might find some good info there. The video showed some HUGE bull moose.

Way to go with deciding to black powder a moose!!...We were lucky to get 3 nice bulls this year with smoke poles...Here are the videos for you..

I hammered mine with a 340 grain buffalo bullet, and you'll see what happens...If I could do it again I will use a 240 grain, to try to achieve pass through.
