Default 1st. Bear hunt

Just booked my first bear hunt. It will be for black bear with KnS Guide Service in northern minnesota. The hunt will be over bait and I was told the shot would be about 20yds. I plan to use my CZ-550 in 6.5x55. I will be shooting 140gr A-Frame. I recently used this combo to take my first elk and it worked great. Anybody have any tips or advice?

At that close ofrange I would use iron sights or a slug gun, scope might not be a good idea at 20yds.. Or a bow I guess..

Other than that have a good time and good luck.
I also have a black bear hunt planned in Canada, archery hunt.. Should be fun....

Why dont you see if the outfitter can tranquilizea bear for you before you arrive for an extra $1500, then you wont have to go trough the trouble of sitting 20 yards from the bait for a few hours before you blast it from close range.

Then you can get to the site, shoot him, and be home in less that 20 minutes.

Good luck with your baiting!!!

Good luck, I hope you post the results. I was thinking about booking a bear hunt next year. I'd like to hear how it went. Aim straight.

Can you ever keep your mouth shut? You have proved, on other posts, that you are without a doubt ignorant on baiting. Lock it up or join PETA.
