Cabelas officially dumps Zumbo!

"On Monday, February 19, Cabela"™s suspended sponsorship of the Jim Zumbo Outdoors television show until Cabela"™s Legal Department could review contractual obligations and commitments relating to our business relationship. As of Tuesday, February 20, Cabela"™s has ceased our business relationship with Mr. Zumbo.

Cabela"™s strongly disagrees with Mr. Zumbo"™s February 16 posting on his Hunting with Jim Zumbo blog on Outdoor Life"™s Web site. His opinions on this matter run counter to the beliefs shared by Cabela"™s more than 12,000 employees, many of whom are hunters, recreational shooters and firearm enthusiasts."[/align]

The sporting world didnt do jack, Zumbo did it all by himself, good for the arrogant SOB, you reap what you sow, this isnt the first time he opened his mouth and inserted foot.

Cabelas and Remnington dropped him, so did the meat seasoning people, they are actually answering all emails

! Gerber and Swarovski haven't and havewritten letters supporting him.

I canceld Outdoor life, field and stream, both with 2 years left on my subscription, I am sending my gerbers back to gerber, and screw swarovski, can't afford them anyway. NRAis dumping him to, but I would never have given that up either.I was about to cancel my cabelas card but after they dropped the moron, I kept it! WHEW! Need the points ! LOL!

Why are you so quick to cancelling everything. Perhaps you should wait until the smoke clears to see the reaction of every party/sponsor invloved. I can guarantee Outdoor Life and Field & Stream will do what they feel is right, but until that time why cancel? They removed his blog as soon as they realized what he was saying.

Just saying you might be boycotting things a bit early.

I don't think I'd go as far as dropping everything he's involved with. It's not like you'd make much of a point by doing it. I'm just glad that this is happening because was just always uptight about everything and his hunting show was awful. I'm not gonna throw out my gerber knife or anything becuase that won't make a difference.
