Well, having done a caribou hunt diy, all I can say is find a good pilot-with infallible references mind-and avoid the Mulchatna Herd. We saw a whoppin' 25 cow caribou that is it. That herd on a whole is in the toilet fyi. But to do a moose AND caribou, maybe look out of kotzebue and hunt the WACH caribou in a decent moose area. Here is a great set of forums forall things alaska in my opinion. www.forums.outdoorsdirectory.com

If you want to go Caribou hunting I would give Mike from alaska bush sports a call. Not the cheapest but he knows what ishe doing and what the animals are doing. He use to guide and that makes a big difference. I'm a pilot, but still not half the pilot as him. Hisknowledge of big game sets him apart from the crowd.I am 2 for 2 for moose and 3 for 2 for bou with one of each making B & C. Doing another adventure this fall for my sons first Bou hunt.
