now thats a buck

i went scouting yesterday formy december elk hunt. i went to the same canyon ive seen deer in and some elk sign first thing in the morning and i found THE ONE. it wasn't the elk i was lookin for but i found the buck im going after next year.

he was chasing does right up the road about 80 yards in front of me. he hardly gave me a second look since he was more interested in the does he had with him. he would have givin me all day to shoot and he never went further than a 150 yards...broadside to me almost the entire time. and of course my deer hunt ended a week ago.

he was the biggest buck ive ever seen...he was 6x5....tall..ooooh....wide...mmmm.....heavy.....ee eh
he was gorgeous

and now i have to wait 11 months 4 days till i can go in after him (sigh)
