Default Broadheads for moose

I've harvested manydeer and blackbears with NAP Spitfires 100gr. I was just wondering, will they be up to par with a moose or should I use a fixed broadhead, and if so what would be a good choice that shoot pretty close to a field point?I am shooting a Champion Bow set at 61 lbs with 55 lbs kenetic energy.Thanks.Steve

I don't like mechanicals for larger animals, well actually at all. I know guys have done it but IMO the best BH is a Cut on Contact head when the big stuff is in front of you. Such as: Magnus, Steel Force, Montec, Zwickey, etc I now use the steel force 100gr premiums myself they fly awesome, deadly sharp. availabilityand worked flawlessly on deer through elk. Magnus Stingers are also a good one in my rig but they aren't kept in stock. Both hit with my field points in my Martin Bows.

If the COC'saren't what your after then a good fixed blade like a Thunderhead or Muzzy will work. I have taken moose with both and they worked well in 125gr versions.

I agree.........a fixed broadhead is the only way to go. If your bow is tuned they will fly with your field points. Mine do...... Any of the top models will work, just make sure your kinetic energy is high enough.
