Default 12 yr old niece's bear

I gotta brag a little bit about this one. My niece turned 12 2 weeks ago and this was her first hunting trip. My brother had been applying for a Wisconsin bear tag for 6 years, drew one this year and transfered it to our niece. I think that is one of the greatest programsWisconsin ever started.
My dad had pictures of bears coming in all day every day.So, they decided to get in the stand at 6:30am yesterday morning, opening day. At 6:45 the first bear showed up, 200lb +. My brother told her that she could shoot it and be back to school at 11:00, she decided to pass, lol.
She was waiting for this one, the 8th bear they saw that day, because it has a white V on its chest. She made a perfect quartering away shot at 4:50 and it only ran 15 yards. The bear weighed 260 lbs.

Needless to say, this is one happy girl!!

CONGRATULATIONS LAURA!!!!

Congrats to her Just curious, what was she using for a rifle? (I'll assume it was a rifle)

She was going to use a muzzleloader, but decided to shoot the .30-06 instead.

Give the girl a pat on the back from all of us for a job well done.

So what's it gonna be, full body mount or a bear skin rug?
