Just ckecking in to see how the first weekend of the season turned out for everyone. I got stuck coming to iowa for a wedding but i will be back for the third week of the season. Well hope all is well and everyone had a good time.

Hi Marshal...I was up in the hunt area yesterday....saw a few cows right up top, where we get wood, they dropped into the burn area. No bugles.....very quiet there, no other hunters around.....D.

thanks for the update. D. I cant wait to get up there and start hunting. If you are feeling frogy and have some time to waste you are more than welcome to come up and hang out, our camp wont be near as nice as your guys but it will work i am working on getting it to that point. We will be up there from the 16 through the 24th. again thanks for the update. take care.

Yep, but a little on the slow side yet, pulled in 6 bulls in 4 days. One spike and a cow are down for the count, I located the big boy of the canyon and had him at 22 yards at full draw and he got spooked by a buddy of mine before I had a chance to let the arrow fly. I passed on a few already, I have 10 days the 3rd week. Should be a hoot as the populations are about the best that I have seen them.
