Hello everyone,
This year i got drawn for a New Mexico elk tag and was drawn for zone 22 starting on Sept. 16. This was not the zone i had wanted and i do not know anything about it. This will also be my first elk hunt. Can anyone give me any info on this zone? I dont care if it is good, or terrible, i would like to know. Thanks to anyone who can help!
As far as I can tell, Unit 22 is in the Mogollon Mountians. Looks like a good area, but I have never hunted it. There is a forest fire just NE ofUnit 22 now at Willow Creek, and Snow Lake.Good luck.
