Public land ML elk...Delta/Montrose counties, Colo?

I drew a Colorado muzzleloader bull tag this year & will be spending August/September in/around Delta, Crawford, Hotchkiss, Paonia, etc.

Has anybody got any hotspots they don't plan to use this year...That they would sharewith a "temporary" Carolina transplant? Have Jeep & USFS maps. I haven't hunted out here since a private land hunt in 1998 & feel like I have one morehunt in my old knees, but can't afford a guided tour.
