Default For Elk Bow Hunter Vetrens ?

I know its a long way from season yet ,but this time of the year is planing stage for me .
I havebowhunted inCO. for the last 11 years striaght and always the weeks up toBlack powder season. I was wondering does theBlack powder season realy mess them up ?
How many of you hunt after Black powder season and how sucesfull are you ?
Can you bow hunt during Black powder season and do any good ?

I hunt around Yampa Co. have any of you bow huntedduring Black powder season there?

Can't speak for hunting CO, but in ID we have bear season & a cow elk unlimited short range weapon, (shotgun or muzzleloader) going on for a good part of Sept. I don't see it affecting the elk or our hunts much at all.

I find that most these guys don't venture very far from the roads, less than a good mile!! So from this end I wouldn't let in sway my decision from a particular time frame to hunt. Stay away from the the people magnets, roads & trails that is & you'll do fine. You get out of it what you put into it!!!------------Good Luck / ElkNut1

Thanks for the info . I had bought your video pack last year and used your calling metheds even thoe I didnt kill an elk (It was early and hot and very geen up high very litte screaming) we had worked elk in ways hadnever done before,and stop a 300+inch bull after we bump him up and brought him back to us with in 80 yards just coundnt get him to come across ansmall opening but he gave us a show for 10minutes.

ML dont mess up the stickthrowers. Yes you can do good in ML- archery season.
