Default Help with Wyoming non-resident application?

I am stuckon how to apply for a elk license? I want tobow hunt & rifle hunt. Looking at the drawing odds for some of the areas, my odds of drawing are slim. Even the bow only tags can be hard to draw. The problem with the bow only tag is, I have no chance to rifle hunt.
Any ideas on the best way to apply & draw a tag? I would like to keep all of my hunting to the northern 1/3 of the state. I live in Greybull, I would like to hunt close tohome.
I am also open tothe idea of a cow/calf tag. I was thinking about applying for the area 53, 54 & 65 Type 6 tag? If I draw this tag, can I bow hunt in that area for cow/calf elk starting september-1st.???

Anyideas?

Thanks,

Wolf Killer

One major problem with Wyoming regs, is they are "tenative" until after the application deadline!
Last year, 53 was a general area for antlered elk. It could be again, or not or maybe one of the other areas. It agrivates me.
I think I would hold off 'till the very last minute and see what the regs say for any areas around you. Then go for the general tag, AND try and get a Type 6 (if it's offered). You get two elk in the freezer, bow hunting one of them, and late season rifle for the other!

It is a perfect world!! (lol)

Oh, I'm in "Cheyoming"
