Default Betrayed Hunter!!

I have been planning a self guided archery elk hunt for 06 to the Rifle Co area. My brother was riding shot gun. However he will be having his first child three months earlier and is not comfortable leaving momma alone. I TRIED TO TELL HIM HE WILL NEED THE BREAK! Kids these days. I am coming from NH and I have family in the Keenesburg area. I have a few details nailed down but I am now very flexible. My question would be! Does anybody need a partner? Please if you want to hunt email or call so we can get our $hit together.
Thanks Dennis Rector

I can't offer any help in the "finding a partner" situation as I am not an elk hunter as of yet. However, I would suggest that your brother talk to his wife about going on this hunt. Unless there are major complications with the birth of the child, three months post-partum will be perfect timing for a mini-vacation. I just had my 2nd child in Feb '05 via C-section. Within a couple of days, I was cruising around. I was thankful when my husband asked if he could go ice fishing one day.I love him and all but... the mama needed some space! For the first couple of weeks, your brother should be around. After that, a hunt should definitely be a possibility.

I would have your brother talk to his wife.
I have 4 children and after the 4th one was born,2 weeks later I was spending a month long fishing trip in Alaska with my dad and brother.
But it is up to the wife, mine wanted me to go,I would have stayed but she insited,so I was gone in a blink of a eye.
