How big is big?

Hey all,
I dont bear hunt, but they do scare me! I recently got some pics of a black bear on my trail cam, and i was just wondering if you could help me figure out how big (s)he is? i will try and get some pics up but im not sure i will be able to if i could email em to some1 who could get em up for me that would be great. neway i figure this bear isjust a lil bit shorter at the top of its slightly arched back than a 2 1/2 yr old buck. i got some pics of both in about the same position. so this would mean its about 4 ft high? does that sound like a mature bear. also, all the pics are of this bear only, no cubs. does this mean itsa male, or are the females alone too this time of year. thanks for the help. im hopin to draw a bear tag for next year, but theyre not that plentiful in my unit and i dont have ne preference pts.

Looks real small to me. Maybe even a 2nd year cub.

hey man im scared for u to lol to bad u gotta walk out in the morning. well kkep that gun loaded and bag the buck instead and i wont worry about the bear cause he's about a 1/2 mile away lol

Probably about 1 1/2 years old, 150 lbs. in that ball park.

Hey guys and gals here are the other pics i promised the 1st is of the bear (possibly a different one from the original pic?) and the second is of a busted up 6 pointer that appears to be at least 2 1/2 yrs old. as far as i know both the deer and the bearwere standing in almost the same spot when the pics were taken i took these pics to work and some bear hunters there said they estimated the bear to be in the 300 - 350 lb range. what do u think?

Doesn't look like the same bear to me, that one is a little taller and has more brown on the nose, don't know if he goes 350 but is a decent bear. Your lucky to have such a hunting area.
