Unfortunately there won't be any pictures since my wife elbowed me in the ribs and woke me up before I couldpick upmy camera.

The most realistic dream I have ever had. Wife said I was mumbling in my sleep about getting some horses from home to pack him out, then getting him into the cooler. ARGHHHHH, we don't leave until Friday....and it cannot come soon enough. Work this week will be a waste.

feddoc, I just got back from 68 after my 2nd season hunt. Hopefully you will get some cooler weather because they were laying low. Not to get you discouraged, but no one in our camp, or any other camp we talked to had even seen one before we left. I did see a Canadian Lynx, which was a big thrill, but no elk. Our camp was at 10,000ft and we went up and down from there. One hunter we talked to said there were more fresh signs on the western part of the unit (we were in the Round Park area). I think it was just too hot. It was mid to upper 60's during the day, and mid 30's overnight. I left a 1/4 full bottle of water out every night, and it never froze. That's the second year in a row we had warm weather during 2nd season. I think it's time to change my strategy. Good luck to you!

We hunt really close to Round Park...nearlower south. Been warm the last few seasons for us too.

We leave tomorrow.
