Default Recent weather and elk rifle season

The news reports have shown heavy early season snow, in a the Dakotas and now Colorado. First rifle season starts this weekend in Colorado. How is the weatherimpacting the hunting plans for you folks out west?

Default RE: Recent weather and elk rifle season

So far no problem. I'm hunting 2nd season in CO (Oct 22). It's supposed to warm up a bit (mid-60's in CO Springs by Thursday). I'm prepared for a cold and wet hunt. I bought an extra heater for the tent. That's about it. I'll be in the woods regardless of the weather.
