Default this amazes me

this weekend i went up to hudsons hope bc to hunt mule deer doe on private land and i shot one at about 80 yards and im amazed how far she ran with a double lung shot with a 30-06 rifle found her like 60 yards away usually they dont go far like ive shoot moose that dont even make it that far and there alot bigger

It is very common for lung shot deer or elk torun a bit after being lungshot with most cartridges.A moose is larger but they are much easier to kill as they usually just stand until they drop or bed down a short distance way.Considering their size,I find moose the wimps of the deer family.

ya the weird thing is there was 2 deer togeather and both ran away and died on the same game trail side by side almost touching

It never ceases to amaze me how resilient some of these animals can be. I have had perfect shots on several animals that had me second guessing myself on the shot placement. They seem to get that sudden adrenaline rush that takes them much farther than by rights they should be able to.

Glad to hear that you found the animal though.
