Default Day 5 into Ram hunt and still empty handed!

Well I spent the first 3 days of my season in sheep country and did not locate the group of rams we were looking for. Saw approx. 50 ewes, lambs and passed on 8 different Rams that were three quarter curl or less. The young rams were impressive already but not what im looking for. Rugged tough terrain!!! what a great start to the hunt. Extreme rattle snake country so we had to be very carefull. Had one close call when a snake struck the bottom of my boot but did not penetrate!! Saw a 190+ typical mulie... stunning! Will be back for a shot at him in a week or so! Took a coule days to watch my wife and kids at their rodeo finals and am gearing up to go back to the canyon tomorrow afternoon for round 2 of the sheep hunt! Am so lucky that my tag is drawn in an area 40 miles away! Good luck to everyone! Will post more later!

Good luck !!------I'm green with envy.Next year I'll be in draw pool here in Colorado. I got a nice 7/8 curl in 98----Had to wait 5 years before I could apply again. CB
