Default Nosler Partitions

I just bought a box of Federal Nosler Partitions for my '06 and all of the exposed lead tips are a little dinged or dented. Do you think that will effect the accuracy or performance? It pisses me off the way that they package some of this stuff...especially at almost $30 per box!

I know it looks like they would not shoot well but in truth, I have shot thousands of bullets with exposed lead tips. Many were dinged and stuff but I could never detect and difference in accuracy. Most of the reading that I have done on the subject and other avid shooters that I have vistied with, pretty much confirm my thoughts. About the only way around it is to shoot bullets with composit or protected tips. The Ballistic tips and SST's for example.. Another choice would be the Barnes bullets.

As mentioned above, their is no degredation of either accuracy or performance due totip damage.

No, it won't impact accuracy in a way that you can measure it.

My reloads got turned tip down on a flight once. When I got to camp all the tips where flattened from the vibration and shaking etc. I was worried that it would effect accuracy. I'm not exagerating folks they where flat nosed. Had Zero effect on point of impact or accuracy. Go figure. Still, I now stuff the lid of my ammo box with foam to avoid a repeat.
