I am using a 30-06 for Elk this fall and was wondering if any of you have ever used the plain old Winchester 180 power points or the Rem. 180 core-lokts? Seems the cheaper ammo shoots better in my rifle.
Both bullets you mentioned have killed plenty of elk (and everything else). You might try a box or two of the "premium" or "bonded" bullets, but the main thing is to use a bullet that YOUR gun shoots acurately.
