I woke up this morning to my 29th birthday. Excited to unwrap endless gift certificates to buy new toys. As driving to work, I receive a phone call from the Utah DWR. Mr. Connelly, we are calling because someone surrendered an Archery Limited Entry MONROE Elk tag and your next on the list. After about driving off the road and passing out, I gave the lady my CC number and called everyone I knew.
I'm sooooo excited. This is one of the best units in Utah/West and now it's just 61 days until primetime hunting!! I hope I finally calm down when Aug. 25th rolls around!!
Tell me about it. I even called the lady back to make sure it wasn't some b-day prank. I mean, it just sounded too good to be true. How many times do you get that kind of a phone call? Let alone on your birthday! She didn't answer and I got her DWR voice mail and info, confirming it wasn't a prank.
