Default Black Bear

What is the best way to hunt black bear when you do not want to attract a grizzly? What kind of sucess do you get from calling with a tape recordings of hurt animals? My luck with bait stations have been poor.

Default RE: Black Bear

I am not a baiter, so I cannot speak from personnal experience, but I did take the
Fish and Game baiting course up here. According to them, if you want to avoid grizzly bears at a bait station, you should avoid using meat, fish, etc. Stick to donuts, bread, and pastries. Even the grease should be donut grease and not fish or chicken frying grease.
