Pretty interesting piece in this month's American Hunter about his big bear management plan on Vancouver Island. I checked out his website but wondered if any bloggers on here had hunted with him, or knew someone who did.
Thanks.

I haven't hunted with him but when the USO mess first started he was getting bashed pretty bad so I wrote him and he called me from Canada. He was up front and very concerned about the negative impact of Taulman splitting the hunting community. I know that from that conversation I did like the guy and felt he was a straight shooter. He said an interesting thing about hunters getting active and maybe looking back at Taulman as the guy who wakened us all to fight for our sport. Think he was right on that point. I would like to hunt with him someday. JMO.

I've personally never hunted with him, but spoke with him before. He seems like a real straight shooter, and a great guy. He's got a website you could check out if your interested in knowing more, www.jimshockey.com
