Unhappy Crossbow shooting way too high

Hello, I'm new to crossbows and recently bought myself a 150 lbs recurve crossbow. When I tried to adjust the open sights, I found out that I couldn't compensate enough, I was shooting 4 inches too high at 3 yards, with the sights in the highest position. Then tried shooting at 22 yards, the arrow landed 60 inches too high, still max elevation.

Can anyone help me please? It's quite frustrating to aim at the ground before hitting the target...

Can you post a pic? What model crossbow is it? Lower in the back, higher in the front to go down.

I really do not know very much about crossbows but you may want to post your questions in the crossbow forum. I am thinking perhaps some one from over there can answer your questions better..
