Default What bow?

I'm going to be looking for a bow sometime soon so that I'm ready to hunt with one by next season and was wondering what I should pick. I'm brand new to bow hunting, not looking to break the bank on something real expensive but would like something that I will perform well with. Any reccomendations on lefty bows, what brands, what FPS speed, etc, etc?Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Default RE: What bow?

I'll say what everyone else says "Go to several local archery shops and ask to shoot their bows" I say go to several because not all shops will carry the same brands, 1 shop might be bowtech, one might be matthews, etc. As for me I am shooting a Diamond Black Ice which is a subsidary of Bowtech and it is the quietest and fastest bow I have ever shot. Usually with speed you lose accuracy but that is not the case with this bow. Good luck on your search, and don't be afraid to ask questions. The pro shop guys are willing to help and you're never going to learn if you don't ask.

Let us know what you end up with!

You should post this in the archery equipment review forum. You will get more replies.

I like Matthews.... You may want to look for a used one if you don't want to break the bank.
