Default RE: Buck Forage Oats?

There were my best draw last year by far and lasted well into mid-December with numerous frosts and freezes and snow falls, with snow starting the first of October.

One way to offset the cost a little is to plant a 50/50 mix with annual rye. This planting also mixes well with clover, the rye is available throughout the winter and early spring, the oats freeze-out in the winter, and the clover picks up in the spring with only a 50% covering of rye to compete with.

I have 350#'s I'll spread out over 4+ acres this weekend on 10 differant plot locations, some mixed with clover and rye, some mixed with Extreme, but it will all be mixed with perrinial base to insure next year's spring and summer plot utalization.
