Default RE: Quebec Winter Caribou Hunting

I just came back from a hunt at Asselin's at the end of November. It isn't something I would do every year but it is an experience. There are several camps that you can go to. Nouchimi is the first you come to then there's the Mirage and next is Donat Asselin that I went to they are the least expensive of the bunch. The last couple of years it has been quite mild in fact it was raining when we got up there. It isn't hard to get your caribou as they migrate and if they are there you will see thousands in a day. The hard part is picking out the better racks as they move almost constantly. You can shoot them off the road as long as you don't shoot on the road. I walked about a half mile off and had a plastic toboggan to pack them out. Cut off the front legs, back straps, and split the hind quarters and it all fits on your boggan.
