Default Slow cooked venison roast

I'm anti-crockpot. With the exception of the occasional dip for a potluck or something (out of necessity of convenience), I just don't feel that they're necessary. Just another counter space consuming appliance. So when I "slow cook" things, I almost always mean braise or slow roast in a pot in either the oven or on the stove.

For this roast, I browned my roast, and braised in the oven on very low heat for several hours. The meat was very juicy and tender, but not that rubbery mush "tender" texture that you get from the crockpot. It made plenty of gravy to put over homemade mashed spuds. And I used Stovetop stuffing...don't judge me, lol.
