I've been looking at buying a new squirrel/rabbit/maybe coyote gun. My little bitty Marlin Cricket is a little small because im now 6'0 not 4'5.

Is the .17 too much for squirrels? Headshots are something i can do, im not too concerned about saving meat my grandma cant tell when theyre shot in the head or the chest.
