Default Peep sights for Traditions Pursuit

This summer I bought a Traditions Pursuit ML. It has the TruGlo sights open sights on it. This week I have been deer hunting with it, and I destroyed the front sight. The rear sight is cracted at the back where the tightening screw for the elevation tightens down. I have that as tight as I can get it, and I missed a buck the other day because the rear sight slid up the ramp even being tightened down as much as possible. Last night I went to a retired gunsmith, and we made something work. The rear sight is a Knight, aluminum with the green loop. We had to grind down the heads of screws and shorten them to make them work with the sight mount. The front sight is a green sight that slid right into the existing plastic ramp. This should get me through the rest of the season, but I am going to puta peep sight on asap so that I do not have to mess with this again. I found screws at the Traditions website that are designed to fill in the holes that the sights go in, so that will not be an issue.

I want to put the peep sight on the rear holes for the scope mounts. There are two sets of hole for a scope mount. What thread is that? We are thinking it is an 8x40, because it is nota 6x42. As for where the rear and front sight is, we have no clue what the thread is. The front sight has two holes, and again we are not sure what the thread is, and the spacing did not match anything he had.

What sight set will fit this muzzleloader? I want to buy a complete peep sight set, front and rear. The problem is finding what the thread size is on front, and what sights will fit the hole spacing.

Thanks,

Marcial
